Sestem for removal of children speech defects

Speech is one of the basic forms of human communication and disruption of communication ability can negatively affect the life of man. deals with the elaboration of logopedic theory, which serves as a basis for the follow-up design and application creation in the field of speech therapy. The thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter deals with the history of speech therapy with an emphasis on domestic logopaedia, the logopedic intervention process in its entirety, and the differentiation of individual types of impaired communication skills. The second chapter focuses on a specific disruption of communication skills - dyslalia.The application for the treatment of dyslalia is determined by the application, which is elaborated in the third chapter. The fourth chapter contains a detailed description of the designed and created application, including an explanation of the processes running in the application when the application is being used. The last chapter of this diploma thesis contains a summary of the results of the practical testing of the application together with suggestions for improvement of the application.
Speech therapy care in homes for the elderly from the perspective of employees of these facilities

This bachellor thesis is focused on logopaedic intervention and its benefits in retirement homes. It is subdivided into a theoretical and an empiric part. The theoretical part is mainly dedicated to defining the terms of ' age' and 'ageing', characterisation of the most common communication disorders among elderly people and their diagnostics, etiology, therapy and symptoms. The system of care of elderly people in the Czech Republic is also depicted in the theoretical part, introducing all kinds of services provided to seniors, mainly in retirement homes. Further, logopaedic intervention and its possible application is described. The following empiric part of the thesis inspected logopedic intervention in a particular retirement home including the assessment of logopedic care contribution by the retirement home's employees. Employees were specifically chosen to assess their clients' progress as they are in a day-to-day contact with them and can therefore observe any improvements brought on by this kind of care. At the same time, they shall be more unbiased as opposed to the logopedician providing the logopedic care or the elderly people themselves. Speech therapy in adults with acquired apraxia of speech

1 ABSTRACT The diploma thesis deals with the issue of speech therapy intervention for adults with acquired verbal dyspraxia. The main goal of this special pedagogical research is to find out what procedures clinical speech therapists in the Czech Republic use as part of speech therapy intervention for patients with verbal dyspraxia. In accordance with the primary goal of the work, sub-goals are set, which determine what diagnostic materials clinical speech therapists use to diagnose acquired verbal dyspraxia in adult patients who have developed a neurogenic communication disorder due to a stroke, trauma or neurogenic disease and what therapeutic methods clinical speech therapists use in the therapy of persons with this diagnosis. Another sub-goal compares how clinical speech therapists are aware of the symptoms of verbal dyspraxia and whether they can easily recognise it based on this knowledge. The work presents data on neurogenic communication disorders, of which dysarthria, aphasia and oral apraxia were described in more detail. Phoniatric and speech therapy intervention for people with voice disorders

The thesis was written in the Speech therapy field of study. Thesis deals with the topic of voice disorders and the mutual cooperation between speech therapists and phoniatrists in this area. The starting point of the theoretical part of the thesis is the definition of the fields of speech therapy and phoniatry. Then the theoretical part deals with voice disorders and the definition of voice. The last chapter of the theoretical part is devoted to the area of diagnosis, therapy and prevention of voice disorders. The goal of the practical part of the thesis was to find out, with the use of the information and knowledge from the theoretical part, how the cooperation between speech therapists and phoniatrists works, to analyse the procedures used for diagnosis and treatment of people with voice disorders and to reveal what other possibilities of cooperation between speech therapists and phoniatrists could be exploited. The objective of this bachelor thesis is to analyze a distance form of the speech therapy intervention by preschool age children during the COVID-19 pandemic, reveal the problems and benefits appeared during its use. The text is composed the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part defines the field of speech therapy, the speech development, communication disorder in preschool child. This section also describes a telemedicine during the COVID-19 pandemic, a distance speech therapy intervention and a communication channels for its implementation. The practical part contains the results of research investigation. It consists of quantitative research, implemented using an online questionnaire and the qualitative research implemented using an interview with clinical speech therapist. During the pandemic, the therapist offered a distance speech therapy intervention using the videoconferencing.
Speech therapy in children's homes in Kralovehradecký region

The bachelor thesis is focused on the provision of speech therapy intervention in children's homes in the Královéhradecký region.The bachelor thesis is divided into three chapters, two theoretical and one empirical chapter. In the first chapter of the theoretical part, basic concepts such as speech therapy, communication, speech, language and impaired communication ability are explained. Next, the first chapter is devoted to the development of speech, language and communication within the planes and lastly, it describes children's homes and their functioning, the role of the educator and the child and the communication skills of children from children's homes. The second chapter of the theoretical part is devoted to speech therapy intervention, the definition of the term and its activities, its position within the health and education departments. Public Awareness of Selective Mutism

This bachelor thesis deals with elective mutism. Attention was paid to the definition, symptomatology and speech therapy intervention of this communication disorder, and above all to the analysis of the level of public awareness of elective mutism. Analyzing the level of public awareness of elective mutism was the main research objective of this paper. The motivation for investigating this issue was the fact that there is currently no research survey in the Czech Republic that would map the public's awareness of elective mutism. However, a higher level of public awareness of this disorder has a positive effect on early diagnosis, and early diagnosis positively affects the success of subsequent therapy. The research was conducted using quantitative research, with a questionnaire used as a research tool. The administration of the questionnaire was carried out online, data collection was completed after obtaining 200 responses. The obtained data were processed in the MS Excel program. Subsequently, two predetermined hypotheses were tested, one of them saying that the level of elective mutism awareness dependents on the field of education of the respondents was confirmed. Developmental Disorders of Speech and Language in Preschool Children

The bachelor thesis focuses on the possibilities of communication development and speech and language therapy intervention in preschool children with specific language impairment. The theoretical part of the thesis depicts the ontogenesis of speech and language and also the issues of developmental speech and language disorders, especially specific language impairment, but also simple delayed language development, developmental dysarthria, developmental dyspraxia and articulation disorder. The empirical part of the thesis presents results of a qualitative research, case studies of three preschool children with specific language impairment and associated disorders, with various degrees of achieved communication development. The main aim of the thesis was to find out what are the possibilities of communication development in preschool children with specific language impairment. A seven-month observation of the children during speech and language therapies, regulating activities and free play, analysis of medical and special-educational records, speech- therapy diaries and interviews with the special-education teacher were used to achieve the aim and get the data. Communication disorders in relation to school maturity and the child's preparation for first grade

The thesis deals with the topic of communication disorders in relation to school maturity and the child's preparation for first grade. The theoretical part is devoted to the theoretical definition of the issue of school maturity and readiness, with an emphasis on communication skills and the impact of impaired communication skills on first grade education. It also focuses on the possibilities of developing a child's communication skills before entering first grade. One of the chapters focuses on Elkonin's stimulating language skills training program. The practical part of the thesis is conducted by qualitative method of investigation through semi-structured interviews with a clinical speech therapist, a special educator - speech therapist and a speech therapy assistant. The practical part explores the developmental opportunities for the child with impaired communication skills and the benefits of the Elkonin programme for training language skills for impaired communication skills in preparation for the start of compulsory schooling.
